The 3M 7000118851 is a coated abrasive belt designed for dry material removal on portable and stationary belt sanders. Built on a heavyweight X-weight cloth backing with a closed-coat aluminum oxide grain pattern, this belt delivers consistent cut and long service life on metals, wood, and composites. At 120 grit, it falls in the fine grade range, making it well suited for surface finishing, blending, and light stock removal where a smooth final surface is the goal. The 341D series construction bonds the abrasive grain firmly to the cloth substrate, reducing grain shedding during aggressive passes.

This belt is sized at 3 inches wide by 24 inches long, a common dimension for bench-top and portable belt sanders used in metal fabrication shops, welding facilities, HVAC duct work, plumbing rough-in, and general maintenance applications.
