The 3M 7000118381 is a coated abrasive disc roll in the Stikita 216U series, designed for fast attachment to Stikit backup pads during surface finishing work. Each roll contains 5-inch diameter discs with a P600 grit aluminum oxide mineral on an A-weight light paper backing. The open-coat construction and load-resistant coating work together to keep the disc surface clear of swarf and debris, extending abrasive life and maintaining consistent cut rate. This roll format eliminates disc liners entirely, reducing changeover time on the job. It is used by finishing technicians, auto body professionals, woodworkers, and trade painters who need a reliable, clean-cutting disc for fine surface preparation.
The 7000118381 disc roll is suited for finishing applications on wood, metal, painted surfaces, and composites where a fine P600 grit scratch pattern is required. The pressure-sensitive adhesive backing allows quick mounting and removal from any compatible Stikit backup pad, which is sold separately. Roll format storage keeps discs organized and ready to pull one at a time without fumbling with loose disc stacks or paper liners. Typical applications include final sanding passes before topcoat, featheredging painted panels, and denibbing between finish coats.
Designed for use with Stikit backup pads accepting 5-inch pressure-sensitive adhesive discs. Backup pad is sold separately.
Disc rolls are installed and serviced by finishing technicians, auto body professionals, and woodworking trades. Ensure the backup pad surface is clean and free of debris before attaching each disc. Align the disc flush with the pad face before applying pressure to seat the adhesive fully. Inspect the disc for wear or loading before each use and replace when cut rate diminishes noticeably.
