The 3M 7000118095 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) abrasive disc designed for surface finishing and material removal in professional sanding applications. At 5 inches in diameter with a 120-grit aluminum oxide abrasive, this disc delivers consistent fine-grade cutting action across wood, metal, and composite surfaces. The F-weight paper backing provides a balance of flexibility and support, allowing the disc to conform to slightly contoured surfaces without losing cutting efficiency. Sold in a pack of 100 discs, this SKU is suited for shops and service professionals who run high-volume sanding operations and need reliable, repeatable results from each disc.
This disc is designed for use with random orbital sanders equipped with PSA (hook-and-loop or sticky-back) platens. The 5-inch format fits standard random orbital pads common in woodworking shops, automotive refinishing, and general fabrication environments. The gold-colored aluminum oxide abrasive is well-suited for finish sanding passes on bare wood, painted surfaces, and light metal prep. No vacuum holes are included, making this disc appropriate for sanders without dust-extraction ports or for applications where hole placement does not match the tool platen. Licensed tradespeople and skilled shop technicians are the primary installers and users of this consumable.
Designed for use with random orbital sanders accepting 5-inch PSA (pressure-sensitive adhesive) backing pads. No vacuum hole pattern is present, so this disc is suited for solid-platen tools or applications where hole alignment is not required.
Ensure the sander platen is clean and free of adhesive residue before applying a new disc — contaminated platens reduce adhesion and can cause disc slippage during operation. Apply firm, even pressure across the full disc face when attaching to the PSA platen to avoid air pockets. Disconnect the sander from its power source or air supply before changing discs. Discard discs that show loading, glazing, or edge lifting, as degraded discs reduce finish quality and can create uneven scratch patterns.
