The 3M 7000118093 is an 8-inch pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) abrasive disc designed for material removal and surface preparation tasks. It uses aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to an F-weight paper backing, delivering consistent cut on wood, composites, and painted surfaces. The 80 grit medium grade makes it well suited for stock removal and leveling before finish sanding. The gold disc color indicates the 363I series construction. With a flexible backing and no vacuum holes, it mounts directly to PSA-compatible random orbital sander pads. Each package contains 50 discs.
This disc is used in woodworking shops, cabinet manufacturing, automotive body prep, and general fabrication environments where flat or contoured surfaces require aggressive material removal. The PSA mount system allows quick disc changes without hook-and-loop hardware, making it a practical choice for production sanding operations where speed and consistent grit loading matter. Compatible with random orbital sanders that accept 8-inch PSA backing pads.
Designed for use with random orbital sanders that accept 8-inch PSA-mount sanding pads. No vacuum hole pattern; not compatible with vacuum or dust-extraction sanding pads that require hole alignment.
Ensure the sander pad surface is clean and free of adhesive residue before applying a new disc. Press the disc firmly and evenly onto the PSA pad to achieve full adhesive contact before operating the sander. Disconnect the sander from its power source before changing discs. Discard discs showing loading, glazing, or backing tears that could affect cut consistency or operator safety.
