The 3M 7000115737 is a 5 mil acrylic adhesive transfer tape supplied on a printed release liner. It uses 3M 300LSE low-surface-energy acrylic adhesive, a formulation with a long service record in industrial and OEM bonding applications. The tape bonds reliably to metals, most plastics, glass, paper, and painted surfaces, including low-surface-energy substrates such as polypropylene and powder-coated finishes. At 2 inches wide and 60 yards long per roll, it suits high-volume assembly and fabrication work. HVAC fabricators, auto technicians, electricians, and general tradespeople use it for attachment and sealing tasks where a clean, film-free bond line is required.
This tape is well suited to both residential and light commercial assembly scenarios. Typical applications include bonding dissimilar substrates in panel fabrication, attaching nameplates or gaskets, and securing trim components. The 300LSE adhesive delivers high initial tack along with long-term holding power, making it practical for production-line use as well as field repairs. It performs reliably in environments with exposure to industrial chemicals, consumer chemicals, moisture, and humidity, broadening its usefulness across trade disciplines.
Designed for general-purpose bonding and assembly of metals, most plastics, glass, paper, and painted surfaces across industrial, automotive, and OEM applications.
Surface preparation is critical — clean and degrease all bonding surfaces before application to achieve full adhesive contact. Apply firm, even pressure across the entire bond area to activate adhesive tack. Allow adequate dwell time before placing the assembly under load, following the substrate manufacturer or job-specification guidelines. No special tools are required, but a roller or squeegee is recommended for consistent pressure on large bond areas.
