The 3M 7000115595 is a transparent, double-sided VHB adhesive transfer tape built around 3M High Performance Acrylic Adhesive 100MP. At 2.0 mil thick, the tape delivers a thin profile without sacrificing bond strength. It conforms readily to irregular and curved surfaces, making it well suited for demanding industrial, commercial, and construction applications. The acrylic adhesive provides strong initial tack and long-term holding power with resistance to chemicals, UV exposure, and solvents. The tape is supplied on a 58 lb polycoated kraft paper liner and is available in 1-inch width rolls. Trade professionals use it where a clean, nearly invisible bonding layer is required.
This tape is designed for both indoor and outdoor applications across a wide range of surfaces and substrates. Typical use cases include bonding nameplates, mounting trim components, attaching gaskets, and securing lightweight panels in HVAC, electrical, and general fabrication settings. Its conformability makes it effective on surfaces with minor texture or contour variations. The short-term temperature tolerance of up to 500 degrees F and an operating temperature tolerance of up to 300 degrees F allow it to perform in environments with elevated heat exposure. Installers working in sign fabrication, panel assembly, and equipment manufacturing commonly specify this tape for high-cycle or long-duration bonding tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style adhesive transfer tape for use across a broad range of industrial, commercial, and construction bonding applications where a transparent, thin-profile double-sided tape is required.
Surface preparation is critical — clean and dry all bonding surfaces before application to ensure maximum adhesion. Apply firm, even pressure across the tape after placement to fully activate the acrylic adhesive. No special tools are required for standard application, though a roller or squeegee improves contact on larger surfaces. Once bonded, removal may damage substrates; verify placement before applying pressure.
