The 3M 7000096084 is a clear bi-directional filament tape built on a polypropylene film backing reinforced with glass yarn filaments running in both the machine and cross directions. A synthetic rubber resin adhesive bonds the assembly to deliver a rated tensile strength of 150 pounds per inch width. That combination of longitudinal and lateral filament reinforcement makes this tape suitable for heavy-duty closure, strapping, bundling, and reinforcing tasks where a single-direction strapping tape would not hold. The roll measures 19 mm wide by 50 meters long. Packaging, shipping, and warehousing operations are the primary environments where this tape sees use.
This tape is designed for industrial and commercial packaging applications where high tensile strength and resistance to splitting are required. Typical use cases include heavy box closure on outbound freight, pallet bundling, unitizing irregular loads, and reinforcing corrugated cartons before shipment. The clear backing allows label and barcode visibility through the tape. It is commonly applied by hand or with a standard tape dispenser and is available in minimum order quantities suited to production-line use.
Designed as a general-purpose bi-directional filament strapping tape suitable for heavy-duty box closure, bundling, and reinforcing applications across industrial and commercial packaging operations.
Surface should be clean, dry, and free of dust or oil before application for best adhesion. Apply firm pressure along the full length of the tape using a roller or the flat of a dispenser to ensure full contact. No tools beyond a standard tape dispenser or utility knife are required. Consult applicable packaging and transport regulations when using this tape as a primary closure or load-securing method.
