The 3M 7000077963 is a mounted flap wheel designed for surface blending, deburring, and finishing on metal and other hard substrates. It combines a non-woven abrasive construction with a coated aluminum oxide abrasive material to deliver consistent stock removal alongside a refined surface finish. The wheel measures 2.5 inches in diameter with a 1.25-inch face width and is rated at a maximum of 7,000 RPM. It carries a 120 grit, fine-grade designation, making it well suited for finishing passes where surface texture control matters. The Roloc+ mount style allows for fast, tool-free attachment and removal on compatible right-angle die grinders and finishing tools used by metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians.
This flap wheel is intended for use in metal fabrication, weld blending, and surface preparation applications across both shop and field environments. It performs well on ferrous and non-ferrous metals where a fine, controlled finish is required without aggressive material removal. The non-woven and coated abrasive combination helps conform to irregular contours and edges, making it useful for deburring machined parts, cleaning weld seams, and preparing surfaces ahead of coating or inspection. It is packaged and sold individually.
Designed for use with Roloc+ compatible right-angle die grinders and finishing tools that accept the corresponding quick-change mandrel system.
Installation and removal must be performed with the tool fully powered down and the air supply disconnected or the power source isolated. Thread the Roloc+ shank onto a compatible mandrel according to the mandrel manufacturer's instructions before operation. Always verify the tool's free-speed RPM does not exceed the 7,000 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel before running. Operators should wear appropriate eye and face protection in accordance with applicable ANSI safety standards during use.
