The 3M 7000058825 is a wing-style twist-on wire connector rated for 600 volts and designed for use with conductors starting at 4 AWG. The blue-gray color coding helps electricians identify the correct connector size at a glance during installation. Built with a flame-retardant housing, this connector resists ignition in the event of a fault condition. The maximum operating temperature is 221 degrees F, making it suitable for standard branch-circuit and junction-box work in residential and commercial applications. This SKU is sold as a box of 250 connectors, supporting high-volume service work and new construction wiring jobs.
This connector is used in standard low-voltage branch-circuit wiring inside junction boxes, outlet boxes, and panel enclosures. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial electrical installations where a secure, code-compliant wire termination is required. Licensed electricians and apprentices working in new construction, renovation, or service-and-repair applications will find the wing-tab design allows fast, tool-free termination. The 250-count packaging is well suited to electrical contractors running multiple circuits or stocking service vans.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use twist-on connector for standard residential and commercial branch-circuit wire termination applications at 600 volts or below with conductors at or above 4 AWG.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always de-energize the circuit and verify with a non-contact voltage tester before making or breaking any wire connections. Strip conductors to the appropriate length, hold the wires together in parallel, and twist the connector clockwise until a firm, snug connection is achieved. Do not over-torque by using pliers or tools on the connector body, as this may crack the housing.
