The 3M 7000052216 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive nylon loop fastener tape designed for reliable, repeatable hook-and-loop fastening in indoor applications. The loop substrate is backed with a high-performance rubber adhesive and a white polypropylene film liner. Engaged thickness ranges from 100 mils to 160 mils, with a 3-mil printed liner included. The tape ships in a 0.75-inch-wide by 50-yard roll, making it well-suited for cutting to length on the job. Licensed HVAC technicians, electricians, and general tradespeople use this tape to secure panels, labels, wire bundles, and lightweight components where a removable or repositionable fastening solution is needed.
This fastener tape is intended for indoor use across a range of surfaces including paper, cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and many common plastics. The rubber adhesive delivers medium-temperature performance, making it appropriate for climate-controlled mechanical rooms, panel interiors, and general interior construction environments. The white polypropylene film liner protects the adhesive until application and is removed before bonding. Its roll format allows field cutting to any required length without special tooling.
Designed for indoor use as the loop component in hook-and-loop fastening systems. Bonds to a broad range of common substrates including paper, cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. Pair with a compatible hook fastener tape for a complete fastening system.
Surface preparation is critical for adhesive bond strength — clean the mating surface of dust, oil, and moisture before applying the tape. Remove the polypropylene film liner immediately before pressing the tape firmly onto the substrate. This product is rated for indoor use only; do not install in areas subject to prolonged moisture exposure, outdoor conditions, or temperatures outside the medium-temperature range. No special tools are required for installation, though a roller or firm hand pressure improves initial adhesion.
