The 3M 7000052212 is a general-purpose hook and loop fastener tape combining a PSA rubber adhesive backing with nylon hook and loop material and a white polypropylene film liner. Measuring 1 inch wide by 5 yards long, this black tape delivers medium temperature resistance along with medium shear and peel strength. It is rated for high HSE and LSE surface adhesion, making it suitable for a wide range of bonding applications. Engaged thickness runs from 100 mil to 160 mil depending on hook-and-loop mating, and the liner is a 3 mil printed polypropylene film. Installers across trades and light manufacturing use this tape when a removable, repositionable mechanical fastening solution is needed without permanent hardware.
This fastener tape is designed for indoor use in residential and commercial settings. The rubber adhesive bonds reliably to paper, cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. Typical applications include panel attachment, access door fastening, cable and component management, and securing lightweight equipment covers. Because the hook and loop halves are sold or paired as MP3526N and MP3527N, both mating sides are available in the same product family for complete fastening solutions.
Designed for indoor general-purpose hook and loop fastening applications; mates with the corresponding 3M MP3526N hook or MP3527N loop component in the same fastener family. Compatible surfaces include paper, cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics.
Clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the adhesive side to ensure maximum bond strength. Peel the polypropylene film liner completely and apply firm, even pressure across the full tape length after placement. This tape is rated for indoor use only and should not be exposed to prolonged moisture, outdoor UV, or temperatures beyond its medium-range rating. No special tools are required, but surface preparation is critical to achieving rated adhesion performance.
