The 3M 7000051992 is a combination cartridge and P100 particulate filter designed to help provide respiratory protection against ammonia, methylamine, and both oil and non-oil particulates. NIOSH approved, this unit works with 3M Half and Full Facepiece respirators in the 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series. The swept-back design improves comfort and peripheral visibility during extended wear. When properly fitted to a half facepiece, it helps protect at concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL). When paired with a full facepiece, protection extends to 50 times PEL. This cartridge is not rated for use in immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) environments.
This cartridge filter is suited for a range of industrial and commercial applications, including agriculture, chemical manufacturing, laboratory environments, and the food processing industry. It is intended for use by industrial hygienists, safety professionals, and trade workers operating in environments where ammonia or methylamine vapors and particulate hazards are present. Full facepiece users must complete quantitative fit testing to claim an assigned protection factor above 10 in negative pressure mode.
Designed for use with 3M Half and Full Facepieces in the 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series respirators.
Cartridge installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified safety professional or trained worker following the employer respiratory protection program in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134. Ensure the facepiece is properly fitted and seal-checked before each use. Do not use this cartridge in IDLH atmospheres or in environments where oxygen deficiency may occur. Full facepiece configurations require quantitative fit testing to achieve protection factors above 10 in negative pressure mode.
