The 3M 7000051910 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive nylon hook fastener supplied on a 50-yard roll, 2 inches wide, in white. It is part of the SJ3572 series and uses a high-performance acrylic adhesive backing with a clear polyethylene film liner. Engaged thickness ranges from 100 mil to 160 mil depending on mating loop material. The 3.5 mil printed liner protects the adhesive during storage and handling. This fastener is designed for mechanical attachment applications in both indoor and outdoor environments where a reliable, repositionable or permanent hook-and-loop closure is required. Installers across construction, HVAC panel mounting, electrical enclosure securing, and general assembly work with this product regularly.
This hook fastener roll is suited for attaching panels, covers, signage, insulation blankets, cable management components, and similar assemblies to surfaces including paint, bare metal, painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. The acrylic adhesive provides high-temperature performance, making it appropriate for applications near heat-generating equipment or in environments with elevated ambient temperatures. Sold by the roll, it allows field cutting to length as needed for custom fastener sizing on the job.
Designed as an OEM-style hook component for use with mating loop fastener strips in hook-and-loop mechanical attachment systems. Specific mating loop compatibility should be verified against the SJ3572 series documentation.
Surface preparation is critical before applying PSA fasteners — clean surfaces thoroughly and allow to dry completely before removing the liner and pressing the tape into place. Apply firm, even pressure across the full width of the strip for maximum adhesive contact. No tools are required for application, but a roller or hard edge improves bond strength. Once bonded to certain surfaces, removal may damage paint or finishes; test on an inconspicuous area when surface integrity is a concern.
