The 3M 7000051903 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive nylon hook fastener roll designed for secure, repositionable or permanent hook-and-loop assemblies in a wide range of indoor applications. The hook side is manufactured from black nylon and coated with a high-performance rubber adhesive backed by a white polypropylene film liner. Engaged thickness ranges from 100 mil to 160 mil, and the printed liner measures 3 mil. The roll measures 2 inches wide by 50 yards long, providing substantial coverage per unit. This fastener is suited for medium-temperature environments and is installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, maintenance professionals, and tradespeople who need a reliable, tool-free mechanical attachment solution.
This hook fastener roll is intended for indoor use on a broad range of substrates. The rubber adhesive bonds well to paper, cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. Typical applications include cable management, panel labeling, equipment mounting, wire bundling, and light fixture or component attachment in residential and commercial interior settings. The 2-inch width accommodates wider mating surfaces where a stronger hold or greater contact area is required compared to narrower tape widths.
Designed as an OEM-style hook fastener strip for use with compatible loop-side fastener materials in indoor mechanical attachment applications.
Surface preparation is critical before applying pressure-sensitive fasteners — clean surfaces thoroughly and allow to dry completely before pressing the adhesive side down. Apply firm, uniform pressure along the full length of the strip to ensure maximum adhesion. This product is rated for indoor use only and should not be exposed to outdoor conditions, moisture, or temperatures outside its medium-temperature performance range. No tools are required for application, but a roller or squeegee is recommended to eliminate air pockets and improve bond strength.
