The 3M 7000049313 is a double coated paper tape built around a natural rubber adhesive system that delivers high initial tack across a wide range of substrates. The tape measures 0.75 inches wide and 36 yards long with an overall thickness of 6 mil. A heavy paper carrier is treated for added dimensional stability, and a paper release liner protects the second adhesive face until use. The hand-tearable construction speeds application in production and assembly environments without the need for a dispenser. Licensed tradespeople and assembly technicians working with fixtures, temporary bonds, or light splicing applications are the primary installers.
This tape is suited for temporary attaching, fixturing, and splicing tasks in light manufacturing, HVAC fabrication shops, and general construction assembly. The 3M Adhesive 860 formulation provides consistent adhesion to paper, cardboard, foil, and many treated surfaces. Because the carrier is reinforced for removability from high internal strength surfaces, the tape is useful in applications where clean removal after temporary bonding is required. It is supplied in roll form at a minimum quantity of 48 rolls per order.
Designed as a general-purpose double coated paper tape for temporary bonding, fixturing, and splicing applications on paper, cardboard, foil, and similar substrates that accept natural rubber adhesive systems.
Apply to clean, dry surfaces free of oil, dust, and loose particles to achieve rated adhesion. No tools are required for tearing; cut with scissors or a blade dispenser for precise lengths. For temporary fixturing applications, remove the tape promptly after use to reduce adhesive transfer risk. As with all adhesive tapes used in electrical or HVAC enclosures, verify that the tape material and adhesive are appropriate for the temperature range and regulatory requirements of the specific installation.
