The 3M 7000047070 is a Surface Conditioning FE Disc engineered for edge work, deburring, and blending across all metal types. Built on a flexible FE substrate with an Aluminum Oxide abrasive, it delivers high initial cut rate and extended cut life under sustained contact pressure. The Hook and Loop attachment system allows fast disc changes without tools. At 4.5 inches in diameter with a 0.87-inch arbor, this disc fits standard right-angle grinders and finishing tools used by fabricators, pipefitters, and ironworkers in both shop and field environments.

This disc is most efficient on ferrous materials where high contact pressure and stock removal are required. It handles blending, coating removal, light finishing, and deburring on flat and contoured surfaces. The flexible FE backing conforms to irregular profiles, making it practical for weld blending on pipe, structural steel, and fabricated assemblies.
