The 3M 7000046845 is a Quick Change Surface Conditioning FE Disc designed for one-step surface preparation ahead of final finishes and coatings. Built on an FE open-web material with aluminum oxide abrasive, it delivers high initial and extended cut rates under elevated contact pressure. The open web conforms to surface irregularities, reducing the risk of gouging the workpiece. At 3/4 inch in diameter and rated to 20000 RPM, this disc is sized for detail and edgework applications where precision matters. Metalworkers and fabricators use it to cut prep time without sacrificing surface quality.

This disc is suited for deburring, blending, and edge finishing on ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high nickel and chrome alloys. The FE material construction performs best where high contact pressure and aggressive stock removal are required on flat surfaces and edges.
