The 3M 7000046360 is the Base (B) component of the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 2216 Gray two-part flexible epoxy system. It is mixed with the corresponding A part at a 2:3 ratio to produce a room-temperature-curing structural adhesive. Once mixed, the system provides a 90-minute work life and reaches handling strength in approximately 10 hours. The cured adhesive delivers high-strength bonds with strong performance in both shear and peel applications. This 5-gallon container is suited for production environments and large-scale bonding operations where volume usage is routine.
This adhesive is used to bond rubber, metal, wood, most plastics, and masonry substrates in industrial and commercial settings. The flexible cure makes it appropriate for assemblies subject to vibration, thermal cycling, or mechanical stress. Typical applications include structural panel bonding, component assembly, and repair operations where a durable, flexible bond line is required. Installation is performed by trained personnel familiar with two-part epoxy mixing and dispensing procedures.
Designed as the B component for use with the corresponding A part of the 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 2216 Gray two-part system. Both components must be sourced and used together at the specified 2:3 mix ratio.
This product is a two-part epoxy and must be mixed in the correct 2:3 ratio before application. Follow all manufacturer mixing and dispensing guidelines; improper ratio will degrade bond strength and cure performance. Use appropriate personal protective equipment including gloves and eye protection when handling uncured epoxy components. Ensure substrate surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants prior to application.
