The 3M 7000046110 is a Scotch-Brite Roloc SE-DR Surface Conditioning Disc designed for heavy-duty deburring and surface finishing on metal workpieces. Built from a coarse, non-woven aluminum oxide fiber construction, this 2-inch disc conforms to irregular and contoured surfaces, removing burrs and conditioning the finish without gouging or undercutting the base material. The open-web fiber structure resists loading and dissipates heat during operation, which helps maintain a consistent finish over the life of the disc. It mounts via the Roloc quick-change attachment system, making disc swaps fast during multi-step finishing sequences. Fabricators, metalworkers, and maintenance technicians working with grinders and right-angle tools are the primary users.
This disc is suited for deburring, blending, and surface conditioning tasks on metal components in fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance environments. The 2-inch diameter fits compact right-angle grinders and die grinders equipped with a Roloc-compatible mandrel. Its medium-grade aluminum oxide abrasive handles moderate to aggressive stock removal and finish blending on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The non-woven construction is particularly effective on contoured parts where rigid abrasive products would leave uneven marks or remove too much material from high points.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible mandrels on right-angle grinders and die grinders. Suitable for deburring and surface conditioning applications on ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Installation is performed by metalworkers and fabricators using a Roloc-compatible mandrel threaded into a right-angle grinder or die grinder. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from its power source before mounting or removing the disc. Thread the disc onto the mandrel according to the tool manufacturer instructions and verify it is seated securely before operation. Always follow applicable workplace safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and face protection when grinding.
