The 3M 7000046026 is a unitized deburring wheel designed for edge blending, surface conditioning, and burr removal on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a soft, fine grade (Density 2), it delivers consistent cut and finish across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. The wheel measures 6 inches in diameter with a 1-inch face width and a 1/2-inch center hole for straightforward mounting. Rated to 5,000 RPM, it is suited for powered stationary and portable equipment. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians working in production or job-shop environments are the typical end users for this type of abrasive tooling.
This deburring wheel is compatible with a range of powered grinding and finishing equipment. The 1/2-inch arbor hole and unitized construction make it a practical fit for centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure-assist backstands. It is appropriate for light to moderate deburring and surface blending on parts that require a consistent finish without aggressive material removal. Applications include finishing weld seams, cleaning up machined edges, and preparing surfaces prior to coating or assembly in light industrial and fabrication settings.
Compatible with centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure-assist backstands. Verify that the spindle speed of the host machine does not exceed the 5,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before mounting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or abrasives technician familiar with wheel mounting procedures. Power down and lock out the host machine before mounting or removing the wheel. Confirm that the machine spindle speed does not exceed the wheel maximum RPM rating, and inspect the wheel for visible cracks or damage before each use. Follow ANSI B7.1 safe-use guidelines for abrasive wheels, including the use of appropriate guards and personal protective equipment.
