The 3M 7000045620 is a Roloc quick-change abrasive disc in the 777F series, engineered for trade and industrial grinding and finishing applications. It combines 3M ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide in a blended mineral that self-sharpens during use, delivering a consistent cut-rate and improved durability compared to aluminum oxide alone. The disc measures 1 inch in diameter and carries a 60-grit rating, making it suited for stock removal and intermediate finishing. A heat-resistant resin bonds the abrasive to a heavy polyester backing rated for medium-pressure work in both wet and dry conditions. Licensed trades and metalworking professionals use this disc for controlled material removal on a range of base metals.
This disc is designed for metal grinding, blending, and finishing tasks encountered in fabrication, maintenance, and repair settings. The 60-grit cut-rate targets aggressive stock removal on ferrous and non-ferrous substrates. A built-in grinding aid reduces heat generation at the work surface, making the disc appropriate for heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium. The water-resistant polyester backing allows use in wet grinding operations where coolant or cutting fluids are present, extending the disc's effective service life across varied shop conditions.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible right-angle grinders and disc pads that accept the 3M Roloc quick-change attachment system. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates in fabrication and maintenance applications.
Installation and disc changes should be performed only while the grinder is powered off and disconnected from its power source. Confirm the disc pad and attachment hub are rated for the tool's maximum RPM before mounting. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and face protection, when operating grinding equipment. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc showing tears, cracks, or separation at the backing.
