The 3M 7000045233 is a Cubitron II Roloc Durable Edge Disc in the 984F series, designed for medium to high pressure grinding applications where a compact disc size is required. Built around 3M Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) technology, this coated abrasive disc delivers fast, consistent cut rates with less applied pressure than conventional abrasive grains. At 1 inch in diameter and 60 grit, it is well suited for detail grinding, edge work, and finishing passes on tight geometries. The 2-ply backing adds durability for demanding edge grinding scenarios. Fabricators, weld technicians, and toolroom machinists are the primary installers of this product.
This disc is engineered for applications involving stainless steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloys, where heat generation during grinding is a concern. The incorporated grinding aid on the disc face actively reduces grinding temperatures, helping to protect heat-sensitive base materials from discoloration, warping, or metallurgical damage. The Roloc quick-change attachment system allows fast disc swaps between grit grades or application types without requiring hand tools, making it practical in production environments where multiple passes or grades are used in sequence.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible right-angle grinders and die grinders accepting 1 inch quick-change abrasive discs. Suitable for grinding stainless steel, cobalt chrome, and nickel alloy workpieces under medium to high pressure conditions.
This disc is installed by fabricators and machinists using Roloc-compatible pneumatic or electric die grinders. Verify the grinder RPM rating meets or exceeds the disc RPM rating before mounting. Wear appropriate PPE including face shield, gloves, and hearing protection during operation. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use a disc that shows signs of delamination or cracking.
