The 3M 7000045106 is a 3-inch Roloc quick-change coated abrasive disc built for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing on metal surfaces. The disc uses fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a YF-weight polyester cloth backing with a heat-resistant resin. That resin bond holds up under pressure, elevated heat, and moisture, making the disc suitable for both wet and dry applications. Rated at 18000 RPM, the 7000045106 is designed for high-speed angle grinders and die grinders used in metal fabrication and finishing environments. The Roloc quick-change attachment system allows fast, secure disc swaps without tools.
This disc is intended for professional use on all metals in applications such as weld blending, surface conditioning, deburring machined parts, and preparation before coating or finishing. The P240 grit rating places it in the fine range, making it well-suited for finishing passes and light stock removal rather than heavy grinding. It performs consistently at medium contact pressure across flat and contoured metal workpieces. Fabricators, maintenance techs, and metalworkers in both shop and field settings are the primary installers and users of this disc.
Designed for use with Roloc quick-change tool systems and compatible 3-inch disc backup pads on angle grinders, die grinders, and right-angle drills used in metal grinding and finishing applications.
Installation and disc changes should be performed only when the tool is powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 18000 RPM rating of the disc before use. Inspect the disc and backup pad for damage before each use and discard any disc that shows cuts, tears, or delamination. Follow applicable workplace safety standards and wear appropriate eye, face, and hand protection when operating abrasive discs at high speed.
