The 3M 7000045104 is a Roloc quick-change coated abrasive disc designed for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing on all metal surfaces. The disc uses aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a YF-weight polyester cloth backing with a heat-resistant resin system. At P120 grit, it delivers a balance of cut rate and surface finish suitable for medium-pressure metalworking tasks. The quick-change Roloc attachment allows tool-free disc swaps directly on compatible right-angle grinders and die grinders. Rated to 25,000 RPM, it handles demanding production and maintenance environments. Licensed HVAC, pipefitting, and metal fabrication trades use this disc during prep and finishing stages on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
This disc is suited to both wet and dry applications, making it versatile across shop and field conditions. The heat-resistant resin bond maintains abrasive integrity under pressure and elevated surface temperatures generated during aggressive grinding passes. At 1 inch in diameter, the disc fits compact right-angle grinders and die grinders used in tight-clearance areas such as pipe joints, weld seams, bracket flanges, and valve bodies. Metal fabrication shops, HVAC sheet metal crews, and plumbing contractors working with copper, steel, and aluminum are typical end users.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible right-angle grinders and die grinders that accept 1 inch quick-change disc attachments.
Installation and removal should be performed with the grinder fully powered down and disconnected from the air or electrical supply. Verify the tool spindle speed rating meets or does not exceed the 25,000 RPM maximum disc rating before use. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves when changing or operating abrasive discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not use discs that show cracks, tears, or delamination.
