The 3M 7000029603 is a pressure-sensitive adhesive nylon loop fastener roll designed for secure, repositionable, or permanent attachment in both indoor and outdoor applications. The roll measures 1.5 inches wide by 50 yards long and features a black nylon loop face bonded to a high-performance acrylic adhesive backing. A clear polyethylene film liner protects the adhesive until installation. Engaged thickness ranges from 100 mil to 160 mil depending on mating hook material, and the printed liner measures 3.5 mil. Licensed tradespeople and facilities maintenance technicians use this fastener for mounting panels, securing wiring assemblies, and attaching lightweight components to a variety of substrates.
This loop fastener roll is suited for residential and commercial applications where a clean, low-profile attachment method is required. The acrylic adhesive bonds reliably to painted surfaces, bare and painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. Because the product is rated for outdoor use, it is also appropriate for exterior panel mounting, equipment labeling, and weatherproof enclosure work where mechanical fasteners are not practical or desired.
Designed for use with compatible 3M SJ-series hook fastener products. Suitable as a mating loop component in hook-and-loop fastening systems used in electrical, HVAC panel, and general industrial assembly applications.
Surface preparation is critical before applying pressure-sensitive adhesive fasteners. Clean the substrate thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry completely before pressing the fastener into place. Apply firm, even pressure across the full length of the strip to ensure full adhesive contact. For electrical enclosure or HVAC panel installations, verify that the adhesive temperature rating is compatible with the operating environment before bonding.
