Measuring 2 inches by 24 inches, each strip features a foil facing on one side and delivers up to 4 hours of fire protection when installed in tested and listed systems. The intumescent core expands under heat to seal the penetration opening. When combined with an approved fire barrier sealant or moldable putty, the wrap also provides a cold smoke seal that helps prevent the spread of toxic gases and combustion by-products before heat activates the intumescent material.
