The 3M 7000006087 is a gray, wax-based emulsion lubricant formulated for low-tension wire and cable pulling through conduit. The thick, consistent formula does not liquefy or separate at elevated temperatures, resists evaporation after pulls, and maintains a low friction coefficient that reduces the risk of insulation and conductor damage under high pulling forces. It applies easily by hand or scoop without runs or drips, wipes off cable quickly, and leaves minimal residue inside the conduit to keep future pulls and removals clean. Each container holds 1 gallon and weighs 8.75 pounds.
This lubricant is suited for both hot-weather and wet-weather electrical installations. It can be used and stored at temperatures up to 194 degrees F, making it appropriate for exposed or sun-heated conduit runs in warm climates. The formula withstands immersion in water for 30 minutes with minimal weight loss, which makes it a reliable choice for underground or wet-location conduit work. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors use this product on commercial, industrial, and residential wire-pull jobs where pull tension must be managed and conduit cleanliness matters.
Designed for use with standard electrical wire and cable in conduit applications where a wax-based pulling lubricant is specified. Suitable for use in both wet and dry conduit systems across residential, commercial, and industrial installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits in the conduit run before beginning any wire-pull operation. Apply lubricant generously along the cable jacket or at the conduit entry point; do not use in place of a lubricant rated for direct-burial splices or connector terminations. Avoid contact with eyes and skin during application and follow the manufacturer safety data sheet for handling and storage guidance.
