The 3M 7000002028 is a disposable N100 particulate respirator engineered to deliver at least 99.97 percent filtration efficiency against certain non-oil-based airborne particles. It uses 3M advanced electrostatically charged microfiber filter media, which is designed to maintain ease of breathing without sacrificing filter performance. The cup-shaped facepiece is constructed from a soft inner material for extended wear comfort and structural durability. A 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve rapidly releases hot, humid exhaled breath to reduce heat and moisture buildup inside the facepiece, making it well suited for high-temperature or high-humidity work environments. NIOSH-approved at the N100 rating, this respirator represents the highest disposable filtration class available under that standard.
This respirator is designed for use in industries where workers encounter high concentrations of fine particulate hazards. Typical applications include foundry operations, grinding, petrochemical manufacturing, mineral processing, and welding. It is commonly specified in construction, general manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, and transportation environments. The 7000002028 also helps provide protection against certain OSHA substance-specific contaminants including lead, MDA, arsenic, and cadmium, excluding asbestos. Licensed tradespeople and industrial hygienists will recognize this model as appropriate where heavy particulate exposure is expected and a disposable respirator is preferred over a reusable half-mask with cartridges.
Designed for use in environments containing certain non-oil-based airborne particles and compatible with a variety of protective eyewear and hearing protection devices. This respirator is appropriate for applications involving certain OSHA substance-specific contaminants including lead, MDA, arsenic, and cadmium, excluding asbestos.
This respirator must be fit-tested prior to use in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 respiratory protection standards. Industrial hygienists or qualified safety personnel should conduct or oversee user fit testing and training. Inspect the facepiece, straps, noseclip, and exhalation valve before each use and discard if any component is damaged or soiled. Do not use in immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) atmospheres or in oxygen-deficient environments.
