The 3M 7000002009 is a combination cartridge and filter rated for respiratory protection against certain organic vapors, acid gases, and P100-level particulates. NIOSH approved, this cartridge is also recommended by 3M for use against radioiodine and methyl bromide at ambient concentrations up to 5 ppm for no more than one shift. It is intended for licensed safety professionals and tradespeople working in environments where chemical vapor and particulate exposure requires air-purifying respirator protection. The P100 filter element provides high-efficiency particulate filtration alongside the chemical cartridge media in a single unit.
This cartridge is designed for use in industrial and trade environments where organic vapor and acid gas hazards are present alongside particulate risks. Typical applications include chemical handling, surface preparation, and maintenance tasks in facilities where OSHA exposure limits require supplied or air-purifying respirator use. This combination cartridge eliminates the need for separate vapor cartridges and particulate filters in compatible respirator assemblies.
Designed for use with 3M Half and Full Facepieces 6000, 7000, and FF-400 Series respirators equipped with bayonet filter holders.
Installation and cartridge replacement should be performed by qualified safety personnel in accordance with OSHA respiratory protection program requirements (29 CFR 1910.134). Ensure the facepiece is properly donned and a user seal check is performed before entering any contaminated atmosphere. Do not use this cartridge in atmospheres that are immediately dangerous to life or health or where oxygen deficiency may be present. Follow the service life guidelines and replacement schedule established in the site respiratory protection program.
