The 3M 7000001907 is a high-capacity chemical sorbent pad engineered for rapid spill response in industrial, maintenance, and hazmat environments. Each pad features a scrim backing on one side that reinforces the pad structure, increases tensile strength, and eliminates linting during use. The scrim construction makes these pads suitable for direct contact with chemical spills on hard surfaces, drains, and secondary containment areas. Sold as a case of 200 pads split across 4 dispenser boxes of 50 pads each, the case delivers a total absorption capacity of 17 gallons. Licensed industrial hygienists, environmental safety personnel, and maintenance technicians typically deploy these pads as part of a spill control plan.
These chemical sorbent pads are used in facilities where chemical spills are a recurring risk, including manufacturing plants, laboratories, fleet maintenance shops, and chemical storage areas. Each individual pad measures 11 inches by 13 inches, providing a workable footprint for spreading across the path of an advancing spill. Pads can also be pre-positioned on work surfaces as a precautionary liner or used as a wipe after a spill event. The dispenser boxes are sized for storage in confined spaces and can be wall-mounted near spill-prone areas for immediate access.
Designed for use with chemical spills in industrial and environmental safety applications where lint-free, high-capacity sorbent pads are required.
Deployment of chemical sorbent pads should follow the facility spill response plan and applicable OSHA hazardous materials handling guidelines. Personnel should wear appropriate PPE, including chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, before placing or handling pads in contact with spilled chemicals. Saturated pads must be disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal hazardous waste regulations. Store dispenser boxes away from ignition sources and in a dry location until needed.
