The 3M 7000001567 is a double-linered adhesive transfer tape using 200MP acrylic adhesive, designed for bonding metal surfaces and high surface energy (HSE) plastics in industrial and graphic attachment applications. The adhesive layer is 2 mil nominal thickness and delivers high shear strength to resist slippage and edge lifting under load. Double 4.2 mil PCK layflat liners provide dimensional stability during storage, processing, and application. The tape is temporarily repositionable, allowing placement correction before final bond set. It maintains performance after exposure to humidity, solvents, and temperature cycling in both hot and cold conditions. Licensed HVAC, electrical, and industrial assembly technicians commonly specify this tape for panel bonding and nameplate attachment.
This tape is suited for residential and commercial industrial assembly environments where a clean, carrier-free adhesive bond is required. Typical applications include graphic attachment, metal-to-plastic joining, and general industrial laminating where a transparent, high-strength bond without a foam or film carrier is preferred. The 200MP acrylic adhesive is widely used as a benchmark adhesive in industrial joining and graphic mounting workflows. The double-liner construction makes it particularly well-suited for high-humidity processing environments and automated dispensing lines.
Designed for bonding metal substrates and high surface energy plastics; well suited for graphic attachment and general industrial joining applications where a carrier-free acrylic transfer adhesive is specified.
Surface preparation is critical before application — clean and dry all bonding surfaces to remove oils, dust, and contaminants. Apply firm pressure across the full bond area to ensure full adhesive contact before final set. When using the repositionable tack window, avoid repeated repositioning, as adhesive transfer to the substrate may reduce bond integrity. Refer to applicable facility safety and material handling guidelines when working with adhesive tapes in automated or high-volume assembly environments.
