The 3M 7000000775 is a 2-inch diameter Scotch-Brite Roloc Bristle Disc designed for aggressive surface preparation on metal and coated substrates. Built with stiff, ceramic abrasive-filled polymer bristles arranged in a radial pattern, this disc strips, deburrs, blends, finishes, and removes coatings efficiently. The open bristle spacing resists loading, so the disc stays effective on high-debris applications like rubberized undercoating removal, seam sealer stripping, rust removal, and paint removal. At 36 grit, the ceramic abrasive grain delivers fast, consistent cutting throughout the life of the disc.
This bristle disc is suited for body shop, fabrication, and industrial maintenance work where wire brushes are impractical or pose a safety risk. The flexible bristles conform to contours and complex part geometry, reducing the pressure required to achieve a clean, prepared surface. It is appropriate for use on ferrous and coated metal panels, structural components, and assemblies where undercoating or corrosion must be removed before repair or finishing. Installers and technicians in automotive, aerospace, and general metal fabrication environments commonly use this disc for prep work before welding, priming, or coating application.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible quick-change tool bodies, including angle grinders and die grinders that accept the Roloc threaded hub system.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the grinder powered off and disconnected from its power source. Eye protection, face shield, and appropriate PPE are required during operation, as ceramic abrasive discs generate sparks and debris. Follow the tool manufacturer's maximum RPM rating and confirm the disc rating is not exceeded before use. Disc replacement and surface prep work of this type is typically performed by auto body technicians, fabricators, and maintenance mechanics.
