The 3M 7000000763 is a Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Disc engineered for surface preparation and finishing across a range of trade and industrial applications. Built with proprietary ceramic abrasive grain molded directly into flexible, curved bristles, this 1-inch diameter disc delivers aggressive cutting action while conforming to contoured and irregular surfaces. At 120 grit, it removes paint, rust, weld burns, heavy oxides, adhesives, and other surface contaminants efficiently. Because the abrasive is distributed throughout each bristle, cutting performance remains consistent from first use through the end of the disc's service life. Licensed trades and maintenance professionals install and use this disc wherever controlled surface preparation is required.
This bristle disc is suited for metal surface prep in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical service environments. Its 1-inch diameter and curved profile make it well suited for tight spaces, pipe joints, weld zones, and complex part geometries where flat abrasive discs cannot reach. It handles paint stripping, deburring, blending, light finishing, and coating removal in a single tool. The disc contains no wire filaments, reducing the risk of wire fragment hazards common with wire cup brushes or twisted wire wheels.
Designed for use with compatible mandrel-mounted rotary tool setups accepting 1-inch radial bristle discs. Confirm mandrel compatibility and maximum RPM rating before mounting.
Mounting and operation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the disc's rated maximum RPM before use. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when operating abrasive discs. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace if bristles show excessive wear or deformation.
