The 3M 7000000659 is an aluminum oxide unitized deburring wheel built for edge finishing, light material removal, and surface blending on metal workpieces. At a density grade of 5 (medium), the wheel delivers consistent cutting action without aggressive stock removal, making it suitable for deburring after machining or cutting operations. The wheel measures 3 inches in diameter with a 1/8-inch face width and a 1/4-inch center hole, and it is rated for a maximum speed of 18,100 RPM. It is intended for use by machinists, tool and die technicians, and metalworking professionals who need repeatable, controlled deburring performance.
This wheel is designed for use with a range of powered tools and finishing equipment in production and job-shop environments. Compatible tooling includes centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure assist backstands. Its compact 3-inch diameter and narrow 1/8-inch face make it well suited for deburring tight edges, bores, and profiles where a wider wheel would not fit. Both light industrial and precision metalworking applications are within scope.
Designed for use with centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure assist backstands. Verify arbor size and maximum RPM rating of the drive tool before mounting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Before mounting, confirm the spindle speed of the drive tool does not exceed the 18,100 RPM rating marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the tool before changing wheels. Inspect the wheel for cracks or damage before each use and never use a damaged wheel.
