The 3M 7000000556 is a 3-inch coated abrasive disc in the Roloc 777F series, designed for trade and industrial grinding and finishing applications. It combines 3M-engineered ceramic abrasive grain with aluminum oxide in a self-sharpening blend that maintains a consistent cut rate over the life of the disc. The P100 grit designation makes it suitable for moderate stock removal and transitional finishing passes. A heat-resistant resin system bonds the abrasive to a heavy polyester backing rated for medium-pressure, wet or dry use. Licensed tradespeople and metalworkers in fabrication, maintenance, and surface prep will find this disc effective across a range of base metals.
This disc is built for surface conditioning tasks on heat-sensitive alloys including stainless steel, nickel alloys, and titanium, where grinding temperature control matters. The integrated grinding aid actively reduces heat buildup at the workpiece, helping prevent material discoloration and metallurgical damage. The water-resistant polyester backing allows use in wet grinding setups without delamination or loss of adhesion between abrasive and substrate. It fits the Roloc quick-change attachment system, enabling fast disc swaps on right-angle grinders and inline tools without additional hardware.
Designed for use with Roloc-compatible quick-change right-angle grinders and inline die grinders accepting 3-inch quick-change discs.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the grinder fully powered down and disconnected from its power source. Ensure the Roloc mandrel is properly threaded and secured before operation. Eye protection, hearing protection, and appropriate gloves are required per standard shop safety practice. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not exceed the rated speed marked on the disc or tool.
