The 3M 7000000554 is a ceramic-grain coated abrasive disc designed for use with Roloc TR quick-change attachment systems. Part of the 777F series, this disc delivers aggressive, consistent stock removal on metal surfaces. It measures 3 inches in diameter, runs at a maximum of 20,000 RPM, and cuts at a medium 60 grit. The ceramic abrasive grain self-sharpens during use, maintaining cut rate over the life of the disc. The polyester cloth backing rated YF weight provides flexibility and durability under load, making it well-suited for blending, weld preparation, and surface conditioning tasks.
This disc is used in metal fabrication, maintenance and repair, and light manufacturing environments where fast disc changes and controlled material removal are required. The Roloc TR Type R attaching system allows single-handed disc swaps without tools, reducing downtime during repetitive grinding and blending operations. Typical applications include weld seam blending, burr removal, and surface prep ahead of coating or inspection. It is sized for use on right-angle die grinders and similar rotary tools that accept 3-inch TR-style discs.

Install and remove this disc by hand using the Roloc TR twist-lock mechanism — no tools required. Ensure the backing pad is rated for at least 20,000 RPM before mounting. Always wear appropriate eye and face protection during operation, and confirm the tool guard is properly positioned. Do not exceed the disc maximum RPM rating under any operating condition.
