The 3M 6106030 is a DBI-SALA Lad-Saf swaged cable designed for permanent vertical fall protection systems on fixed ladders. Constructed from galvanized steel in a 7x19 strand configuration, this cable measures 3/8 inches in diameter and 30 feet in length, providing a continuous lifeline for workers ascending and descending vertical structures. The galvanized finish resists corrosion in outdoor and industrial environments. With a rated weight capacity of 310 pounds, it meets the load demands of professional fall arrest applications. Installation is performed by qualified safety professionals or trained tradespeople as part of a complete Lad-Saf vertical safety system.
This cable is intended for use in permanent ladder safety installations on fixed ladders in industrial, commercial, and utility environments. Typical applications include communication towers, grain elevators, rooftop access ladders, and industrial facility ladders. The 30-foot cable length suits single-story to low mid-rise ladder runs. It is designed to integrate with the DBI-SALA Lad-Saf cable sleeve and bracket hardware as part of a complete vertical lifeline assembly. The gray galvanized steel construction holds up in exposed outdoor conditions where corrosion resistance is essential.
Designed for use as a replacement or new-installation cable within the DBI-SALA Lad-Saf vertical safety system. Intended for use with compatible Lad-Saf cable sleeve carriers, top and bottom brackets, and anchorage hardware. Verify all system components are rated and compatible before installation.
Installation of vertical fall protection cable systems should be performed by a competent person trained in fall protection, in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.23 and 1926.502 requirements as applicable. De-energize and lock out any nearby electrical hazards before beginning ladder or structure work. Do not use this cable as a standalone lifeline without a complete, approved Lad-Saf system including sleeve carrier, top bracket, and bottom tensioner. Inspect the cable for kinks, broken strands, or corrosion before each installation and periodically per the manufacturer's inspection schedule.
