The 3M 3900114 is a FAST-Linea stainless steel replacement cable assembly designed for use with the DBI-SALA Sealed-Bloka self-retracting lifeline (SRL). At 130 feet in length, this cable assembly provides the internal lifeline for retracting mechanisms used in elevated work environments. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion, making it suitable for outdoor and industrial service conditions. This is a direct replacement component, not a complete SRL unit, and is intended to restore a Sealed-Bloka unit to service after inspection or following cable damage. Installation is performed by qualified fall protection technicians or certified riggers.
This cable assembly is used in applications where workers are exposed to fall hazards at height, including construction, steel erection, tower climbing, industrial maintenance, and similar trades requiring OSHA-compliant fall arrest systems. The 130-foot cable length accommodates work at significant elevation, making it appropriate for tasks performed on communication towers, industrial structures, or elevated platforms where a long-travel SRL is required.
Designed as a replacement cable assembly for the DBI-SALA Sealed-Bloka self-retracting lifeline. Specific compatible SRL model numbers should be confirmed against the Sealed-Bloka service documentation before installation.
Replacement of an SRL cable assembly must be performed by a competent person trained in fall protection equipment servicing, in accordance with ANSI Z359 standards and the manufacturer service manual. The SRL unit must be fully de-tensioned and removed from service before disassembly. Do not place the unit back in service until the cable assembly has been properly seated, the retraction function verified, and the unit inspected per the manufacturer's criteria. Field cable replacement that is not performed to manufacturer specifications may void certification and create a life-safety hazard.
