The 3M 3100569 is a hot work twin-leg personal self-retracting lifeline (SRL) featuring a Kevlar fiber web in a 6-foot configuration. Designed for industrial fall protection, the unit integrates a quick-activating speed-sensing brake system that locks and stops a fall within inches, making it especially suited for low-height work where conventional lanyards provide inadequate arrest distance. The durable thermoplastic housing keeps overall weight at 5.01 pounds while maintaining industrial-grade durability. A high-capacity external energy absorber with built-in impact indicator communicates post-event load history at a glance. Licensed fall protection professionals and qualified riggers are the primary installers of this equipment.
This SRL is designed for hot work environments where flame-resistant and heat-tolerant lifeline materials are required. The twin-leg configuration allows 100 percent tie-off, enabling workers to maintain continuous fall protection while transitioning between anchor points on structures, scaffolding, elevated platforms, and similar industrial work sites. The swiveling anchorage loop reduces torque and kinking during movement, and the built-in connector supports direct attachment to most compatible full-body harnesses without requiring additional hardware. The RFID chip built into the unit is compatible with inventory and inspection management systems, streamlining equipment tracking in large facilities.
Designed for direct connection to most full-body harnesses; available in single-leg and twin-leg configurations suitable for a range of overhead anchor and direct-harness-connection applications.
Installation and inspection must be performed by a competent person trained in fall protection systems per applicable OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M and ANSI Z359 standards. Before connecting or removing this SRL, ensure all energy sources at the work area are controlled and the anchor point has been verified to meet minimum strength requirements. Do not modify, disassemble, or field-repair any component of this unit. Conduct a pre-use inspection of the web, housing, connectors, and energy absorber before each use, and remove from service immediately if the impact indicator has been activated.
