The 3M 19912 is a full brim safety helmet designed for job site head protection in construction, utilities, and general industry. It features a 4-point woven nylon suspension with ratchet adjustment, allowing fast, tool-free fit tuning while wearing gloves. The helmet meets ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 requirements and carries Class C, E, and G ratings, covering a range of electrical and impact hazard environments. A moisture-wicking brow pad is built into the suspension to manage sweat during extended wear. Licensed HVAC contractors, electricians, plumbers, and general tradespeople working on regulated job sites will find this helmet ready for daily use straight out of the box.
The 19912 is suited for residential and commercial construction sites, industrial maintenance environments, and utility work where full brim coverage is required or preferred. The brim provides 360-degree sun and debris deflection, making it well-suited for outdoor trades. The suspension includes goggle retaining slots, which allow safety eyewear to be stored on the helmet without a separate holder. A chin strap can also be accommodated for applications where added retention is needed, such as elevated work or high-wind conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style full brim hard hat suitable for general trade and industrial job site use where ANSI Z89.1 Type 1 head protection is specified.
Fitting is performed by the end user using the built-in ratchet dial at the rear of the suspension — no tools required. Before use, inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, UV degradation, or deformation and replace if damage is found. Do not modify the shell by drilling holes or painting, as this can compromise structural integrity and void compliance ratings. Replace the helmet after any impact event, even if visible damage is not apparent.
