The 3M 1403199 is a full-body X-style vest safety harness designed for workers operating at height in demanding job-site conditions. Built on the ExoFita X300 platform, it features 6,000-pound-rated polyester webbing, a nylon and polyester hybrid comfort padding system with reflective panels, and lightweight aluminum hardware throughout. An automatic stand-up dorsal D-ring enables fast, efficient connections without awkward repositioning. Locking torso adjustment and auto-locking quick-connect buckles maintain a secure, repeatable fit throughout the shift. The low-profile suspension trauma strap is integrated directly into the harness webbing. This harness is sized for medium and large wearers and is installed and inspected by qualified fall-protection competent persons per applicable OSHA and ANSI Z359 requirements.
The 3M 1403199 is suited for general industry, construction, utilities, and any application requiring compliant fall-arrest equipment at elevation. The X300 configuration is appropriate for workers who require a higher level of comfort and connectivity features during extended periods of working at height. The integrated easy-link SRL adapter on select configurations allows rapid connection and disconnection of personal self-retracting lanyards. The anti-sliding dorsal D-ring pad reduces D-ring migration during movement. RFID-based Connected Safety ID is integrated into the harness for streamlined inventory tracking, periodic inspection logging, and record management.
Designed as an OEM-style full-body harness for use with compliant fall-arrest systems requiring a dorsal D-ring connection point. Compatible with personal self-retracting lanyards via integrated easy-link SRL adapter on select configurations, as described in the product documentation.
Donning and adjustment must be performed by the worker with oversight from a qualified fall-protection competent person in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502 and ANSI Z359.11. Inspect all webbing, hardware, and stitching before each use and remove the harness from service immediately if any component shows signs of damage, chemical exposure, or fall-arrest deployment. Do not alter, cut, or field-repair any harness webbing or hardware. RFID inspection records should be updated following each formal periodic inspection per the manufacturer service schedule.
