The 3M 1403198 is a full-body, X-style vest safety harness from the DBI-SALA ExoFita X300 series, engineered for working at height in demanding trade environments. Built with 6,000-pound-rated polyester webbing, it pairs a nylon and polyester hybrid comfort padding system with reflective Scotchlite panels for visibility in low-light conditions. Lightweight aluminum hardware keeps overall weight down while maintaining structural integrity. The automatic stand-up dorsal D-ring and anti-sliding D-ring pad support fast, secure connections at the back attachment point. This harness is sized for X-Small and Small wearers and is installed by safety-qualified personnel on commercial and industrial job sites where fall protection systems are required.
The ExoFita X300 is suited for construction, general industry, and infrastructure work where full-body harness use is mandated by fall protection programs. The X-style vest configuration distributes load across the torso and shoulders. Revolving torso adapters with locking webbing retention allow on-site fit adjustment without removing the harness. The integrated easy-link SRL adapter supports direct connection of self-retracting lanyards, making it a practical fit for tower work, steel erection, roofing, and elevated platform tasks.
Designed for use with compatible self-retracting lanyards and anchorage connectors as part of a complete personal fall arrest system meeting applicable OSHA and ANSI Z359 requirements. Sized for X-Small and Small body profiles.
Fall protection harnesses must be donned and inspected by a competent person before each use in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926.502 and ANSI Z359 standards. Ensure all buckles are fully seated, webbing is free of twists, and the dorsal D-ring is positioned between the shoulder blades before connecting to the fall arrest system. Remove the harness from service immediately if it has been subjected to fall arrest forces or shows signs of webbing damage, hardware deformation, or stitching failure. Harness fitting and system inspection should be performed by a qualified person familiar with personal fall arrest equipment.
