Taco VorTech - Air Separator - 1" NPT.The VRTX100-3 is a Taco VorTech air separator. It combines unique design elements with a reliable Taco high capacity Hy-Vent automatic air vent. The VorTech series has two stages of air separation. In the first stage, the Hy-Vent automatically pulls the largest air bubbles out. The smaller bubbles are then handled by a vortex created at the center of the VRTX100-3 by its distinct dual chamber design. The vortex drags water across a bubble breaking screen, which removes air bubbles from the flow and pushes them towards the vent. The vortex also creates a pressure differential that drags any bubbles missed by the screen to the center of the separator, where the Hy-Vent can easily expel them.
