The Mersen R642 is designed to allow the use of lower-rated fuses in equipment that has clips rated for higher amperages. This functionality improves circuit protection by enabling the use of time-delay fuses that are closer to the motor nameplate current. The fuse reducer is ideal for applications needing Class H, K, or R fuses to fit into Class H or K clips, and only Class R fuses to fit into Class R clips.
