Built from cast iron with a Dura Coated finish, this carrier provides a rigid, corrosion-resistant mounting solution that meets the demands of rough-in environments. The unit features one 4-inch side inlet, a 4-inch no-hub left-hand inlet with flow directed to the right, and a 2-inch left-hand vent connection. The adjustable vertical design allows the installer to fine-tune rough-in height during construction, reducing the need for field modifications to surrounding framing or finished surfaces.

This carrier system is intended for use with siphon jet water closets in vertical stack plumbing configurations. It is well suited for commercial restrooms, multi-story residential construction, and any application where a wall-hung fixture requires a structurally sound, code-compliant support system. The no-hub connection type simplifies integration with standard cast iron drain, waste, and vent systems. Licensed plumbers typically install this unit during rough-in framing, prior to concrete pours or wall finish work.

Key Features

Adjustable vertical design allows rough-in height to be set during framing without additional fittings

Cast iron construction with Dura Coated finish for corrosion resistance in demanding wet environments

4-inch no-hub left-hand inlet with flow to the right for compatibility with standard DWV stacks

2-inch left-hand vent connection included for integrated venting at the carrier

One 4-inch side inlet for straightforward drain connection to the water closet

Designed for siphon jet water closet applications in vertical carrier configurations

Compatibility

Designed for use with siphon jet water closets in adjustable vertical carrier applications. Compatible with no-hub cast iron drain, waste, and vent piping systems using standard no-hub couplings.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and verify the drain stack is depressurized before beginning rough-in work. The carrier must be secured to structural framing members to support the static and dynamic load of a wall-hung water closet. No-hub connections require approved stainless steel shielded couplings torqued per the coupling manufacturer's specifications.

Technical Specifications

Material: Cast Iron

Finish: Dura Coated

Type: Adjustable Vertical Carrier

Side Inlet Size: 4 inches

Inlet Configuration: No-Hub Left-Hand Inlet with Flow to Right

Vent Connection: 2 inches Left-Hand

Suitable For Use With: Siphon Jet Water Closet

Series: Z1204

Standard Information

Brand: ZURN

Manufacturer Part Number: Z12041NL4
