This structural component forms the rear body section of the cleaner, enclosing internal drive and sweep mechanisms that keep the unit moving across pool surfaces. Constructed from durable plastic, the assembly measures 7.72 inches long by 5.04 inches wide by 2.72 inches deep and weighs 1 pound. This is a direct-replacement part sourced from the original manufacturer, making it the correct fit when the factory housing is cracked, broken, or otherwise damaged. Pool service technicians and authorized Polaris repair centers are the typical installers.

The 39-005 rear housing is intended for use with the Polaris 3900 Sport in-ground automatic pool cleaner. This model is commonly found in residential in-ground pool installations and relies on pressure-side water flow to drive its cleaning action. The rear housing is a wear-and-damage replacement item typically swapped during a full cleaner rebuild or after physical impact damage. Because this is a genuine Polaris part, it matches original tolerances and mounting points without modification.

Key Features

Genuine OEM replacement part manufactured by Zodiac for the Polaris 3900 Sport

Durable plastic construction built to withstand continuous pool water exposure

Precise OEM dimensions ensure correct fit without modification

Manufactured in the United States

Direct drop-in replacement restoring original cleaner geometry and function

Compatibility

Designed specifically for the Zodiac Polaris 3900 Sport automatic pool cleaner. Disconnect the cleaner from the pressure line and remove it from the pool before beginning any repair work. Consult the Polaris 3900 Sport service manual for the correct disassembly sequence, as internal components may need to be transferred from the old housing to the replacement. Do not overtighten plastic fasteners, as the housing material can crack under excessive force.

Technical Specifications

Length: 7.72 inches

Width: 5.04 inches

Height: 2.72 inches

Weight: 1 pound

Material: Plastic

Country of Origin: United States

Standard Information

Brand: ZODIAC

Manufacturer Part Number: 39-005
