This safety device monitors for flame rollout conditions - situations where burner flames extend outside their intended combustion zone - and cuts power to the system when unsafe temperatures are detected at the heat exchanger or burner area. Once tripped, the switch requires a manual reset before the furnace will restart, preventing the system from cycling back on without technician intervention. The switch measures 4.1 inches in length, 3.15 inches in width, and 0.8 inches in height. It is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from YORK, ensuring proper fit and function in compatible equipment.

This flame rollout switch is suited for residential gas furnace applications where OEM-spec safety components are required. It is commonly installed during service calls where the original switch has tripped repeatedly, shows signs of heat damage, or has failed continuity testing. Compatible units include the 2CE04510506, 6MG04, and 6MG03 model lines, among others. Licensed HVAC technicians handling furnace safety circuit repairs will find this part a direct drop-in replacement for the original component in supported YORK equipment.

Key Features

Manual reset design requires technician intervention before furnace restart after a rollout event

Genuine OEM replacement part for proper fit and reliable safety circuit performance

Compact form factor at 4.1 x 3.15 x 0.8 inches for installation in tight burner compartments

Cuts system power upon detection of flame rollout to protect heat exchanger and surrounding components

Lightweight construction at 0.015 pounds

Compatibility

Compatible with YORK furnace models including 2CE04510506, 6MG04, and 6MG03, among others. Disconnect all electrical power and shut off the gas supply to the furnace before replacing the flame rollout switch. Inspect the burner compartment and heat exchanger for signs of rollout damage or blockage before resetting or replacing the switch, as a tripped rollout switch indicates an underlying condition that must be corrected. Work should comply with applicable local mechanical and gas codes, including references to the IFGC where enforced.

Technical Specifications

Length: 4.1 inches

Width: 3.15 inches

Height: 0.8 inches

Weight: 0.015 pounds

Reset Type: Manual Reset

Application: Furnace

Feature: Flame Rollout

Standard Information

Brand: YORK

Manufacturer Part Number: 2630000000
