Built from rust-resistant stainless steel, this floor lock is well suited for food service and healthcare environments where corrosion resistance and sanitation are priorities. A spring-loaded foot pedal allows the operator to lock and release the unit quickly without bending down. A rubber bottom pad grips the floor surface firmly to hold the cart in place during use. The unit ships as a single piece and is configured for left-side mounting.

This floor lock is intended for use on mobile carts, service trolleys, and rolling equipment commonly found in commercial kitchens, hospital corridors, and clinical supply rooms. When a cart frame design blocks the undercarriage and prevents standard bottom-mount installation, this side-mount configuration provides a practical alternative. The left-side orientation makes it compatible with equipment where right-side clearance is limited or where operator workflow favors left-side foot access.

Key Features

Rust-resistant stainless steel construction rated for food service and healthcare environments

Side-mount design accommodates carts that cannot accept a flush under-mount floor lock

Spring-loaded foot pedal for fast, hands-free locking and release

Rubber bottom pad provides maximum grip on finished or sealed floor surfaces

Left-side mount orientation for flexible installation positioning

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style side-mount floor lock replacement or addition for carts and rolling equipment with side-accessible mounting surfaces, particularly in food service and healthcare settings.

Installation Notes

Installation is typically performed by a maintenance technician or equipment fabricator using standard hand tools. Secure the mounting bracket firmly to the cart frame side rail before putting the unit into service. Verify that the rubber pad contacts the floor surface squarely when engaged to ensure full gripping effectiveness. Follow the equipment manufacturer guidelines and any applicable facility safety codes when modifying rolling equipment used in regulated environments.

Technical Specifications

Material: Stainless Steel

Mount Type: Left Side Mount

Length: 17 inches

Width: 5 inches

Height: 8 inches

Weight: 9 pounds

Package Quantity: 1

Standard Information

Brand: VESTIL MANUFACTURING

Manufacturer Part Number: FL-LK-SMR-L
