It uses female NPT connections on both ends, making it a fully threaded fitting that changes flow direction in a piping run without welding or flanges. Schedule 40 wall construction provides the material thickness required for industrial and commercial plumbing, process piping, and mechanical systems where corrosion resistance is a priority. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in systems handling water, mild chemicals, and other media compatible with 316 stainless steel.

This elbow is suited for residential and commercial applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed in a 2-inch threaded piping system. Typical install scenarios include process lines, marine plumbing, food-service equipment, and corrosive-environment mechanical rooms. The FNPT x FNPT end configuration connects to any standard male NPT pipe or nipple of the same nominal size.

Key Features

316 stainless steel construction resists corrosion in wet and chemically aggressive environments

FNPT x FNPT connections on both ends for standard threaded assembly

150 psi pressure rating suitable for low-pressure process and plumbing applications

Schedule 40 wall thickness for structural integrity at rated pressure

2-inch nominal fitting size for common commercial and industrial pipe runs

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2-inch male NPT threaded pipe systems requiring a 90-degree elbow in 316 stainless steel at Schedule 40 construction.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or certified pipefitters following applicable IPC or ASME B31 piping codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before assembly, and tighten to hand-tight plus the number of turns specified by the sealant manufacturer. Do not over-tighten threaded stainless fittings, as galling of the threads can occur.

Technical Specifications

Fitting Type: 90 Degree Elbow

Fitting Size: 2 inches

Material Grade: 316 Stainless Steel

End Connection: FNPT x FNPT

Connection Type: Threaded

Pressure Rating: 150 psi

Schedule: 40

Weight: 0.01 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: VALUE COLLECTION

Manufacturer Part Number: 6LB902
