Machined from rigid PVC, it delivers reliable chemical resistance and long service life in both above-ground and select below-ground installations. The slip x slip end connections accept standard 4-inch PVC pipe with solvent cement, forming a leak-tight joint when prepped and primed correctly. At 2.05 pounds, the fitting is lightweight for its size yet meets Schedule 40 wall-thickness requirements. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a 45-degree directional change is needed in a PVC piping run.

This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, including DWV stacks, storm drainage, irrigation mains, and low-pressure water service lines. It is a direct-connect, solvent-weld fitting compatible with standard 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe stock. Typical installation scenarios include horizontal-to-diagonal transitions in drain lines, underground storm sewer laterals, and gravity-flow waste systems where a full 90-degree turn is not required.

Key Features

45-degree sweep angle for gradual directional changes in piping runs

Schedule 40 wall thickness for standard-service pressure and DWV use

Slip x slip end connections for solvent-cement joining to 4-inch PVC pipe

Rigid PVC construction resists corrosion, scale, and most common plumbing chemicals

Lightweight at 2.05 pounds, simplifying overhead and confined-space installs

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction fitting for Schedule 40 PVC piping systems with a 4-inch nominal pipe size.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and ASTM D2665 or D1785 standards as applicable. Shut off the water supply or isolate the drain system before cutting into any existing line. Pipe ends must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned with PVC primer before applying solvent cement per the cement manufacturer instructions. Allow full cure time before restoring flow or pressure to the line.

Technical Specifications

Fitting Type: 45-Degree Elbow

Nominal Size: 4 inches

Material: PVC

Schedule: 40

End Connection: Slip x Slip

Weight: 2.05 pounds

Standard Information

Brand: VALUE COLLECTION

Manufacturer Part Number: 417-040
